# Information Architecture Certificate Program

### Introduction

Information architecture (IA) is the practice of organizing and structuring information so people can find what they need and understand where they are — in any environment.

**The WIAA IA Certificate Program** is an entry point into the field of information architecture — designed for people who are curious about information architecture or just getting started in the field.

Learners build a foundational understanding of what IA is, why it matters, and how it works across digital, physical, and hybrid environments. Each course stands on its own, so learners can start wherever feels most relevant to them. Together, the courses introduce the core concepts, vocabulary, and ways of thinking that define the field — helping newcomers develop the confidence to recognize good IA, ask better questions, and begin doing the work themselves.
