Local and global events
Take part in a local event
Find out if there is a World IA Day event near you. This usually takes place in early March. You can help as a volunteer or just attend it. Or you can offer the organizers to speak.
Organize a local event
If there is no event near you, you can create your own local event. It comes with the satisfaction of growing the community, the awareness of information architecture, and your own communication and event management skills.
Join a global World IA Café
You can attend the monthly online-events for the global community. You can also help organize these.

Global organization
You can support the global organization by volunteering or by becoming part of the organization.
If you are new to IA or a similar field, WIAA can offer opportunities to join the community by helping with projects or communication about the events.
If you are a more seasoned member of the community, you can apply for open posts in or around the global board.
