# Event content checklist

Use this checklist to plan, publish, and maintain event information. Organize the content on your local microsite in the way that best serves your community.

Keep key information current as plans develop. After the event, add useful resources for attendees and future organizers.

### Before publishing

* [ ] **Set the event date and time.** Include the time zone and a registration link.
* [ ] **Write an event introduction.** Explain your event’s perspective on the global theme.
* [ ] **Add venue or online access details.** Include accessible arrival, parking, transit, and participation information.
* [ ] **Add live-stream details.** Link to the stream when your event includes one.

### Build your program

* [ ] **Publish the program schedule.** Include session times, titles, formats, and speakers where available.
* [ ] **Introduce speakers and presenters.** Add biographies, session details, and relevant links.
* [ ] **Introduce the organizing team.** Credit local organizers, team members, and volunteers.
* [ ] **Recognize partners and sponsors.** Include names, links, and short descriptions where appropriate.

### Create clear ways to participate

* [ ] **Add registration details.** Explain cost, capacity, and what attendees can expect.
* [ ] **Add volunteer and sponsor opportunities.** Link to a form, email address, or other contact method.
* [ ] **Share event updates.** Keep the microsite and promotional channels aligned as details change.

### After the event

* [ ] **Thank contributors.** Recognize attendees, presenters, volunteers, partners, and sponsors.
* [ ] **Share event resources.** Publish recordings, slides, photos, and key takeaways.
* [ ] **Preserve useful information.** Leave content that will help next year’s organizers and attendees.

### Keep content accessible

Use descriptive headings and links. Add alt text to meaningful images. Keep essential details available as text.
