# Event Planning Template

Use the [event planning template](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12uarh0f7ZzOOd6ut2jKiUxDMS9JSG4_T/edit?usp=sharing\&ouid=109035096764380890159\&rtpof=true\&sd=true) as a starting point for your local event.

The template supports a digital-first event and assumes planning begins around November. Adapt the timeline, tasks, and format for your community.

### Get started

1. Create your own copy of the spreadsheet.
2. Assign each task to a local team member.
3. Set due dates that match your event date and capacity.

Remove tasks that do not apply. Add local requirements for venues, funding, accessibility, registration, and communications.

### Keep your plan useful

Review the template with your team regularly. Update task status, record decisions, and flag blockers early.

Use one shared source of truth. Link to supporting documents rather than duplicating details across tools.
