# World IA Day

Since 2012, World IA Day has grown from a handful of locations to over 136 locations spanning six continents. The celebration unites practitioners, students, and enthusiasts in a day of learning, sharing, and connection—all focused on making information more findable, usable, and meaningful.

WIAD26 is a wrap. Twenty cities. One global theme.&#x20;

**Next year, World IA Day 2027 lands on March 6.** Same mission, new theme, new communities joining the map. Theme announcement, call for organizers, and more details to follow later this year.
