WIAD26 is a wrap! Twenty cities. One theme. We'll do it again next year.

What is information architecture?

Information architecture (IA) is the art and practice of organizing and structuring information to create meaning and understanding. It helps people navigate complex information environments and find what they need to take action. When information is well-organized on websites, in apps, or even in buildings, it becomes easily accessible, understandable, and actionable for everyone who uses it.

As information continues to grow and change in our world, so does our understanding of information architecture.

Sharing why information architecture matters

"I enjoy the sense of community and building the local community here in Barcelona, raising awareness about IA and helping various people have the opportunity to present about what they know and their work."

— Kevin van Reenen, WIAD22 Barcelona, Spain

"...I am passionate about fostering conversations and collaborations that push the boundaries of how we organize and interact with information. ...It’s an honor to play a part in advancing IA and empowering others through this shared experience.

— Dechen Nagi, WIAD25 Vancouver, Canada
